The original layout felt cramped and inefficient, with the refrigerator out of reach in the back hall and a hodge-podge of pantries and cabinets. The owners of this lovely home were ready to make some big changes to their kitchen and laundry room areas. Regency began this remodel with the demolition and removal of all existing floor tiles down to the sub floor, cabinetry, appliances, countertops, wallboard, and ceiling board.
The project was a kitchen remodel. The client wanted to update the look and to increase the room size of the exiting kitchen. The desired outcome was a larger more efficient kitchen that completely changed the look of the entire Arlington Heights home.
The single family home located in the Oakwood Subdivision in Grayslake, was built in 1999. The community is a family friendly, quiet and affordable. This kitchen suffered from a lack of workspace, as well as outdated appliances and cabinetry. The homeowners wished to update the look while incorporating additional counters and more storage. The room was gutted, and the back door moved to allow for more surface area.

We reconfigured the original kitchen layout to create a more open concept space. We removed the existing flooring and installed a new maple hardwood floor with a semi-gloss finish.
