The Subject Property
The residents of this lovely home were ready to give their kitchen a major upgrade in several ways. They were interested in changing their floor plan in order to create a more open and spacious layout while making the space feel larger and also appear larger. Regency began this job with the removal of all kitchen appliances, cabinetry, partition walls that were separating the kitchen from the rest of the floor, flooring, and the back door. Also, the lowered ceiling in the kitchen was raised in order to increase the ceiling height; which would serve to greatly increase the perceived space of the area. New electrical wiring was also installed throughout the first floor for the addition of eight recessed cans in the kitchen and 10 recessed cans in the living room and foyer area. The main goal of this job was to change the floor plan and appearance of the entire first floor as well as the staircase in order to make the house more modern and stylish as well as practical.
End Result
The new kitchen is so much sleeker and more stylish compared to the preexisting space. The most notable change is the new color scheme. This was successfully accomplished by making several changes. The new white shaker cabinetry makes the space appear much brighter and matches with the new Giola Quartz countertops from Daltile. In order to contrast these lighter colors, a gorgeous Smoked Pearl Color Wave backsplash was installed throughout the kitchen under the cabinetry. Another huge change was the increase in space successfully created with the removal of unnecessary and cramming partition walls. This increase in space allowed for the installation of a large island fitted with seating areas and extra storage space. Overall, this kitchen is beautiful and incredibly practical in terms of function. Regency did a spectacular job with this space and there is no doubt that the residents will remain happy with Regency’s work for a very long time.
