The Subject Property
The homeowners of this Mount Prospect property were ready to update their kitchen. The biggest issue in this home was the size. While there was not any room to expand, our customers wanted to create a more open feeling by replacing all cabinets, countertops, and fixtures. By changing the color scheme, it would be possible to make the kitchen appear larger while not changing the size at all. Additionally, the customers wanted a more sleek look that would allow for their kitchen to stay up to date for many years to come.
End Result
Regency began this remodel by demolishing and removing the existing cabinets, countertops, flooring, and all fixtures. The most notable change in this kitchen remodel is the color scheme. Since our customers wanted their kitchen to appear larger without changing the physical size, Regency installed white cabinets that help the room look more open and spacious. Using lighter colors throughout the kitchen gives off a feeling of openness like this couple wanted. Keeping the color scheme light, Regency installed a First Snow Marble backsplash that was supplied by Daltile while contrasting this with a Black Mist Granite countertop.
Another major change to this kitchen was the expansion of the serving hatch. By leveling it out with the countertop, a new seating area was created making the serving hatch much more practical for everyday use. Overall, this kitchen remodel was a huge success. Without changing the size, Regency was able to make the kitchen look and feel much bigger than it actually is. The new installations give the kitchen a very elegant and sleek look like our customers wanted.
