The owners of this property desired a change in two bathrooms in their home. They were interested in making style changes to a hallway bathroom as well as the master bathroom. The plan of the remodel was to maintain the layout of fixtures and cabinetry while changing the style to a more updated and sleek appeal.

The main goal of this job was to greatly increase the size of the master bathroom while also changing the style from outdated into a sleek and luxurious space. The homeowners were interested in converting an unused loft space into a large, walk-in closet, which would be on the opposite side of the room than it previously had been.

The project address is located in Buffalo Grove in the subdivision called The Woodlands of Fiore. The neighborhood was constructed starting in 1988; with construction ending in the mid 1990’s the large subdivision consists of townhomes, coach homes and single-family homes. A large portion of the neighborhood backs up to an award winning 18-hole golf course. The Woodlands of Fiore residents attend Stevenson High School.

The bathroom and shower wall tiles are a 12×24 gray/white ceramic tile installed in a vertical brick pattern. A vertical tile pattern creates the illusion of a higher ceiling, making it a great choice for a shower.
