Long Grove Master Bathroom Remodel

The soaring beauty of this Long Grove master bath was masked behind its dark, dated design, but the clever designers at Regency Home Remodeling were able to reveal the hidden beauty by a creative use of materials and an imaginative reassignment of space to make the room all the homeowners dreamed it could be.

The first step was to remove the old, dark, outdated tile covering the walls, and then open up the shower space with a glass surround on a pony wall. Daltile provided spectacular tiles for the new look, all expertly set by Regency’s experienced installers. The main floor’s 12” x 24” Marble Lavish Golden Reverie tile, set in a trendy herringbone pattern, flows smoothly into the shower floor and up the side walls, while the back shower wall glows with a subtle 12” x 24” Multitude Origami White tile and two stunning vertical accent stripes of Oscillating Allusion Blend Mosaic tile. Nightfall Quartz adds a sophisticated flair to the shower bench, threshold, pony wall top and tub ledge, and was also used for the vanity tops for a modern contrast with the Honey Spice finish of the KraftMaid Sedona Maple cabinets. The same maple finish graces the mirror frames above the vanities, and a designer touch was added by wrapping the ceiling peak’s beam with the same maple finish as the cabinetry. A new Bain Ultra Evanescence freestanding tub nestles into its own cozy enclave, gleaming with Kohler brushed nickel finish fixtures, all from Studio 41. As a final touch, two muted tones of green paint create a master bath with a soothing spa-like feel.
