This home is located in Highland Park, a northern suburb of Chicago. Highland Park is a part of Lake County and is approximately 25 miles from downtown Chicago. It has a population of about 30,000 people. Highland Park is a very attractable area for many reasons including its vibrant downtown area that offers many things to do for people of all ages. A very popular event that takes place in downtown Highland Park during the summers is the Ravinia Festival. This festival hosts concerts for many genres of music including jazz, classical, and pop. The Subject Property

This historic home in Highland Park is just steps to Moraine Beach and Lake Michigan. Built in 1914, it was time to update this beautiful house. The homeowners wanted to bring their master bath, kids bathroom, and powder room up to date.
In the power room, the customers wanted the bright red walls changed to a more subtle color and update the vanity and floor tile. Prior to the renovation, the master bath was covered in marble, from the floor to the countertops and bathtub. They wanted it to have a completely new look so they chose a new flooring, countertops, cabinets, etc. that would give them their dream bathroom. For the kids bathroom, they wanted something more convenient for their children but something that would last them years and years.

End Result

These bathrooms look phenomenal. For the powder room, Regency began by tearing out the old flooring and vanity. These were replaced with a beautiful quartz countertop and an espresso maple cabinet supplied by Regency. The walls were painted a lovely forest green that gives the powder room a completely new look and feel. Next for the master bathroom, we removed the marble that covered this room from head to toe. We used the same tile from the powder room to replace the marble floors in the master bathroom. The countertop next to the toilet and shower was replaced by a gorgeous freestanding tub. For the vanity, we installed espresso maple cabinets with a quartz countertop that look perfect together.
In the kids bathroom, we installed a new countertop with double sinks which will give them more space and the convenience they wished for. For the floors, we put in a beautiful darker tile that modernizes the entire bathroom.
Finally, we gave the hardwood floors and stairs a completely new look. Changing to a dark ebony stain gives the house a clean and consistent feel.
