Chicago is a very popular city to live in. This property is situated on the northern side of the city in walking distance to Humboldt Park and in close proximity to the Loop. This residence is located in the West Side of the city in West Bucktown in one of the trendiest areas of the city. This quiet area of the city is a great place to live and not worry about finding parking. There is a beautiful 4-acre park known as Wicker Park very close. This area feeds into schools such as Clemente Achievement Academy High School, Sabin Elementary Magnet School, and Goethe Elementary.

The Subject Property

The homeowners recently had their kitchen redone and wanted to upgrade their master bathroom as well to increase the uniformity of a modern look throughout the house. Regency gutted the bathroom by removing the cabinetry, sinks, flooring, and shower walls. This was done so that new, brighter, and more modern countertops and cabinetry could be put in as well as new flooring and walls. The owner wanted to whole feel of the bathroom to be refreshed, so Regency designed a new layout based on some structural changes to create a more spacious and functional bathroom. The plumbing from the shower and toilets were moved so that the shower and toilet location could be changed.

End Result

The entire feeling of the bathroom was upgraded by the dramatic change in Daltile Diamante flooring and Regency Maple white cabinetry coupled with an updated shower design and new Kohler multi-function showerhead. The shower floor was changed to a beautiful Keystone finish suede gray flooring to match the new décor or the room. The room was instantly made brighter and more welcoming by replacing the older, brown cabinetry with stylish white cabinets and white Giallo granite counter tops. The bland, white tile floor was replaced with a gray diamante tile floor to match the gray walls and create a more modern-looking bathroom. The vanity was given a major upgrade in functionality by replacing the old, outdated sink bowl and faucet with more modern, white Kohler under mounted sinks and new Kohler stainless steel faucets. A beautiful backsplash and accent was added to the bathroom to top it off with an elegant smoked pearl finish, which really helped this bathroom come together in a luxurious fashion and will be sure to satisfy the homeowners desires.
