Lincoln Park Bathroom Remodel
1136 Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL
About Lincoln Park (Chicago)
This home is located in Lincoln Park close to the intersection of North Lincoln Avenue and West Fullerton Avenue on the North Side of Chicago. Unlike much of the city of Chicago, Lincoln Park has plenty of natural beauty and outdoor areas to enjoy such as parks. One of the most notable attractions of Lincoln Park is the Lincoln Park Zoo, which is free and open year-round. The Lincoln Park Zoo is about 35 acres and was founded in 1968, which places it among the oldest zoos in the United States. Lincoln Park also offers a lakefront trail and access to the beaches of Lake Michigan, which is highly desirable in downtown Chicago.
The Subject Property
This bathroom was ready for an upgrade in several ways. The design of the bathroom had become bland to the owners; the shower was small and made the users feel crammed, and the ceilings dropped too low a well as an unnecessary partition wall being present. Regency started this remodel by removing the flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, walls, the preexisting partition wall that separated the shower from the tub, and the ceiling that was taking up unneeded space. The main purpose of this remodel was to increase the efficiency of the space while making it feel much more spacious and sleek.
End Result
The new bathroom looks so much better than the preexisting space. A very noticeable difference was accomplished by the removal of the partition wall and raising the height above the shower and tub. This makes the bathroom feel much larger and decreases the sense of claustrophobia that had been affecting the shower and tub areas. The new shower is much larger and is stylishly designed to blend into the deck surrounding the tub. The shower floor was finished with a Keystone dessert gray tile while the walls of the shower and entire bathroom were fitted with a Fabrique Crème Linen finish. This changed the color scheme to one that would allow natural light to increase the illumination of the space. The shower and tub areas each contain niche shelves, which were completed with Color Wave Willow Waters tile from Daltile. This added a touch of color to the space. The new, white MAAX tub looks great built into the deck. It creates a very sleek look that blends seamlessly with the shower. The new color scheme gives the space a much cleaner and more modern look that the previous space had while the increased space achieved by Regency makes the room feel much larger and more comfortable. The customers love the job diligently completed by Regency and are sure to maintain this sentiment for many years to come!
