Bath Remodel Mount Prospect

From its press-pattern tile floors to its old, peeling wallpaper, this Mount Prospect hall bathroom was straight out of the 90’s and begging for a redo. Regency Home Remodeling immediately saw the potential in this small space, and, with the help of top suppliers Daltile and Studio 41, transformed it into one worthy of being called totally on-trend.

The first step was to gut the room and remove the unnecessary tub, allowing for a more practical shower with an efficient window that replaces the old glass block and allows for fresh ventilation. The main floor received Daltile’s Gravel Road matte finish floor tile, while the shower floor was covered with Solistone Kuala floor tile around a trendy linear drain, and the shower wall was lined with Taupe 12” matte finish tile. Back in the main bathroom area, a new Icera Muse one-piece toilet was installed, and the old heavy wood vanity replaced with Regency’s own crisp white shaker style and Mountain Plumbing Products’ undermount sink topped with Daltile’s NQ69 Ash Gray vanity top, also used for the shower’s threshold, niche and handy bench. Studio 41 also supplied a modern Kohler Verdera lighted medicine cabinet and added the Artos faucet and shower fixtures and Gatco bathroom accessories, all in gorgeous matte black. Finally, the old storage closet now sits behind a trendy sliding barn door of shaker white, and a Panasonic Whisper ceiling exhaust fan completes the changeover from retro to now.
