Hawthorn Woods is a lovely village located in Fremont and Ela townships about 40 miles northeast of downtown Chicago. Hawthorn Woods is home to the Hawthorn Woods Country Club, which was designed by the professional golfer Arnold Palmer. The Subject Property

The owners of the beautiful home were interested in adding another bathroom to their home in their master bedroom. This would be accomplished by converting a closet to a bathroom. In order to accomplish this, Regency completely gutted the space that had been previously used as a closet by removing the flooring, walls, and more. Plumbing and electrical wiring was installed for the new shower, sink, toilet, and vanity. The goal of this project was to add a convenient bathroom in the home in the space that was not being used as efficiently as it could have been. A challenge of this job was to use the preexisting space without being able to enlarge the room.

End Result

Regency did a spectacular job converting a closet to a spacious bathroom fitted with modern luxuries and finishes. A bright and welcoming room was creating by the installation of artic white tile floors from Daltile, which contrasted beautifully with the black coffee maple KraftMaid cabinetry. A glass panel shower was installed as well as a large MAAX tub with a deck. The shower was fitted with Kohler showerhead and topped off with a beautiful niche shelf and accent composed of color wave tile from Daltile. The large vanity added additional storage space as well as counter space. Two stylish undermounted Kohler sinks were installed with kelston Kohler lavatory faucets, which brought together the look of the vanity very nicely. Regency was able to successfully work in a confined space and transform it into a spacious and luxurious bathroom that brings elegance and convenience to this wonderful home.
