Lake Forest Mudroom, Laundry and Powder Room

Lots of space doesn’t necessarily mean much if it’s not properly utilized, as this Lake Forest homeowner learned when Regency Home Remodeling helped transform their combination mudroom, laundry, and powder room into a stunning new multipurpose space.

The first step was to remove the clunky soffits that jutted out and took up space. Getting rid of them opened up the area to a flat ceiling that soars. Next, Regency’s own Dove cabinets were used to create a system of individual cubbies for coats and boots, along with an eye-catching cabinet-and-basket system for attractive storage. The old laundry countertops were replaced with Daltile’s OQ12 Carrara Veil quartz, and a stunning backsplash of 4 x 12 Mythology Titan tile was set above the washer and dryer for eye appeal and visual flow. Studio 41 supplied the Kohler Whitehaven apron sink for laundry convenience, along with Kohler plumbing fixtures and accessories in the newly freshened powder room, which was given a custom wainscoting to complement the classic patterned wallpaper with a dash of sophisticated color and style.
