This wonderful home is located within Highland Park, which is an affluent suburb located in Lake County that lies along the western shore of Lake Michigan. The Subject Property

The residents of this lovely home were interested in changing the design and style of their kitchen. The kitchen space was large, but outdated and yearning for a modern upgrade. The residents were interested in changing the color scheme of the space as well as making changes that would increase the functionality of the space. Regency began by completely gutting the entire kitchen all the way down to the studs. The flooring, appliances, and cabinetry were also removed. New electrical wiring was installed in order to install six new recessed cans, which would serve to greatly increase the brightness and welcoming appeal of the space.

End Result

The new kitchen looks spectacular. The most obvious change is the color scheme and new layout of the kitchen. The preexisting, bland tile floors were replaces with a beautiful linden point flooring from Daltile. The layout was changed to a more convenient one by the removal of the U-shaped countertop and replacement with an island. This created a more open feeling in the kitchen while providing extra counter space for added convenience and working space. The preexisting kitchen space also had large soffits, which created a more crammed feeling of space. The removal of these soffits made a big difference in increasing the spacious feel of the new space. Overall, this kitchen looks much brighter, more open, and much more modern than the preexisting space and is sure to keep the residents happy for many years to come
