This home is located in North Park, which is a community located on the Northern side of Chicago. North Park is surrounded by: Lincolnwood towards the north, Harwood Heights to the west, Lake Michigan towards the east, and Albany Park towards the south. North Park was annexed into Chicago back in 1889 along with the rest of Jefferson Township. Just like the rest of the Chicagoland area, North Park contains several great restaurants including: L. Woods Tap & Pine Lodge, Gather, Sabri Nihari Restaurant, Noon O Kabob, The Angry Crab, Panera, and more. This is a terrific area to live in as it provides the great amenities of the city while also having charm.

The Subject Property

The homeowners of this wonderful home were ready to make some big changes in their kitchen and dining room areas. They were interested in changing the entire floor plan on the first floor into a more open one. They wanted to accomplish this by removing partition walls that was separating the kitchen from the rest of the downstairs area. Regency began this job by removing all kitchen appliances and cabinetry. Regency also installed new electrical wiring for the eight additional recessed cans, which would be installed throughout the kitchen and dining room in order to increase the brightness of the room without relying on natural light. The main goal of this job was to change the floor plan to a more open one and make the kitchen space more functional as well as a fun place to entertain.

End Result

The new floor plan looks amazing! Regency did a great job completely opening up this floor plan and creating a smooth flow from the kitchen into the dining room as well as the rest of the first floor. The kitchen was also given a modern upgrade in terms of color scheme and finishes. One of the ways this was accomplished was by replacing the old cabinetry with a beautiful Chocolate Maple cabinetry. This gave the kitchen a warmer feel. Beautiful tile from Daltile fitted the rest of the kitchen and completed the color scheme change. The area surrounding the window above the sink was fitted with an Uptown Glass Alabaster finish, which beautifully contrasted the rest of the backsplash in the kitchen. The rest of the kitchen was fitted with a Travertine Mediterranean Ivory finish. The large, Bianco Romano granite countertop adds extra counter space that the customers desired. This kitchen is amazing and is definitely a fun place to hang out. The homeowners were thrilled with the work competently completed by Regency and were excited to use their new kitchen!
