Wrigleyville Kitchen Remodel

A cute little cubby does not a great kitchen make, but with a little help from Regency Home Remodeling, all it took was the removal of a wall and a simple layout swap for this tiny Chicago kitchen to become worthy of the phrase cool style.

To create extra space, Regency replaced the old cabinets with ultra-modern tall ones in a trendy Greige Gray, topped with 12” lighted glass uppers and crown molding. The layout was flipped so Studio 41’s Kohler Ironridge apron sink and Hansgrohe faucet could take advantage of the kitchen window, while the new position of the KitchenAid Slide-in Gas Range allowed for a Best Power Pack series hood above. The other new appliances, all from ABT, included a paneled Bosch 24” dishwasher, as well as a 24” build-in microwave drawer and bottom mount refrigerator, both by KitchenAid. The final decorator touches were provided by Daltile, with White Sand Quartz countertops and a stunning White Noir Quartzite backsplash. The removal of the connecting wall allows for a practical peninsula, visually connecting the newly-opened kitchen to the dining room, the flow aided by a matching floor of red oak hardwood.
