The owners of this Arlington Heights home were ready for an update. When discussing potential floor plans for their new kitchen, the family knew they wanted one thing: space. Prior to the renovation, the kitchen was small with little room to entertain and cook at the same time.
The owners of this gorgeous Arlington Heights home were ready to make a change in their kitchen. They were interested in changing the color scheme of their kitchen to one that is more uniform in style while also making the space visually appealing.
The owners of this beautiful home wanted to make some dramatic changes to the kitchen and dining room. They wanted to change their floor plan to a more open one and make the dining room flow more smoothly into the kitchen and vice versa.
The preexisting kitchen space in this home was outdated and ready for a remodel. Regency began this job by removing all cabinetry, countertops, and appliances. Regency also installed new electrical wiring in order to install new recessed cans, which would replace the large and outdated light/fan combo that was hanging in the middle of the ceiling in the kitchen.
The kitchen was cramped and awkward, with limited cabinet storage and counter space. Lighting was limited to one ceiling fixture, and the sink was almost hidden beneath a cabinet. The entire effect was dark and cave-like. The owner wanted to rework the entire floor plan of the old-fashioned kitchen, opening it up to the family room to create a more modern and efficient open-concept living space.
Besides being outdated, the small L-shaped kitchen was hampered by short walls, giving it limited storage and even less counter space. By removing the back wall and moving the kitchen into the previous dining space, the work areas could be expanded and a more useful environment created.
The project was a kitchen remodel. The client wanted to update the look and to increase the room size of the exiting kitchen. The desired outcome was a larger more efficient kitchen that completely changed the look of the entire Arlington Heights home.
