Lake Forest is a suburb that lies on the shore of Lake Michigan located in Lake County and is part of the Chicago metropolitan area of the North Shore. The Subject Property

This bathroom was in need of a modern upgrade for a new look and a new layout. The homeowners were interested in increasing the size of their shower, changing the location of the vanity, and brightening up the room. They wanted to achieve these things by placing the vanity on the same side of the room as the toilet and shower, changing the floors and walls, and adding recessed cans in order to increase the brightness of the room. Regency gutted the bathroom and installed new plumbing for the new vanity location as well as electrical wiring for the new recessed cans, which would brighten up the room considerably.

End Result

The most noticeable change was the combination of the new vanity and modern shower. The preexisting bathroom only had a sink, not a modern vanity like the one Regency installed in the new bathroom. The vanity was finished with a large granite countertop from Daltile as well as a large mirror from Fairmont. The shower, which was designed in a confined manner, was opened up to the surrounding area by removing a wall and replacing the shower perimeter with glass panels. A clubmaster showerhead and Raindance hand shower were installed to provide added comfort to the user. The bathroom was made substantially brighter and more inviting with the new Daltile Florentine tile, which was used on the floor, shower floor, and shower walls. A darker Bali accent was installed the width of the shower in order to seamlessly contrast all the white in the room. Three new recessed can lights were added to the ceiling in order to greatly increase the brightness as well. As an added bonus and comfort to the homeowners, Warmup interactive heated floors were installed. The end result of Regency’s diligent work and thorough planning is sure to keep the homeowners happy for a long time while they enjoy their bright, stylish bathroom.
