The Subject Property

The owners of this lovely home wanted to remodel their kitchen while changing the layout of their appliances and cabinetry. The main goal was a conversion from a traditional kitchen with dark cabinetry and light appliances to a more modern space with lighter cabinetry and darker appliances and countertops. It was important to increase the practicality of the space by increasing counter space and also making the room appear larger. Regency installed new electrical wiring and plumbing for the new refrigerator and oven locations, which allowed for increased counter and cabinet space. An unnecessary partition wall was removed in order to contribute to increasing the spatial appeal.

End Result

The dynamic of the kitchen was completely transformed. A major change was the swapping of locations of the oven and the refrigerator. This change greatly increased the spatial layout of the space making he room feel much more spacious. Removing the old cabinetry and replacing it with white maple cabinets successfully changed the color scheme. To contrast the white cabinets, black pearl granite countertops from Daltile were installed. These two colors were seamlessly blended together by replacing the old, white oven and microwave with stainless steel appliances from GE, which matched very well with the polished chrome faucet and sink from Kohler.
