A laundry room doesn’t have to be boring, as these Chicago Lakeview homeowners discovered when they asked Regency Home Remodeling to give their basement laundry a bit of a boost. All it took was a little shift in plumbing and a lot of design pizazz to make the room sparkle and function more effectively.

Regency’s designers opened up the space visually by moving the plumbing from the room’s end to the side wall, making room for ABT’s new Whirlpool front load washer and dryer and creating an efficient flow for laundry duties. The white shaker cabinets and matte black faucet and hardware add a crisp, modern feel, while Daltile provided elegant white quartz counters and 3” x 6” Arctic White backsplash tile to complete the look. The final shot of pizazz came from The Tile Shop, who provided the stunning Ragno Blanco Matte Porcelain Hex floor tile for a design element that truly goes beyond the everyday and matches that of the basement bathroom for a total custom look.
