Kitchen Remodel
2804 N Lakewood Ave, Chicago, IL
The Subject Property
Though modern industrial in design, this Chicago loft kitchen felt closed-in and dated. But Regency Home Remodelers were able to see the possibilities, and using their knowledge and experience created an open, modern kitchen with an unusual, edgy style.
First, Regency’s experienced remodelers removed the wall sections that hemmed in the kitchen, opening it to the living room with an extended island housing the Samsung built-in microwave with trim kit and front-control gas range with overhead hood, all from ABT. Dramatically dark charcoal cabinets were contrasted with Daltile’s OQ48 Independence Calacatta marble-look quartz counters that tumbled into stunning waterfall sides on the huge new island. Kohler’s Cairn undermount sink from Studio 41 was further set off by Daltile’s glass backsplash tile in a fresh white double herringbone pattern. The dated tile floor was replaced with hardwood to match the refinished living room floors for a cohesive flow and expansive feel. Other Samsung appliances from ABT completed the change, include a StormWash dishwasher and counter depth 4-door refrigerator.
The resulting look is modern and urban, yet warm and welcoming as well as open and efficient. Regency can conquer your challenging kitchen as well, providing the utmost in expert advice, design and construction, and always on time and within your budget. Give them a call.
